The Americana Music Association’s annual festival in Hackney is a combination of industry conference, live music showcases and awards. With over 70 artists performing across 6 venues over 2 nights, it really is a celebration of live music. In 2021, with COVID19 forcing a national lockdown, we moved the event to a bespoke digital platform and streamed the show into the homes of fans across the globe with people joining us from UK, US, Canada, Australia & Norway.

Romano joined our team during the build-up to the 2020 festival and awards, although Americana wasn’t his normal ‘jam’ he quickly understood our ethos and how strong this community is, and he managed to bring on some really fantastic and fitting partners and sponsors. During 2021 we had to pivot our whole event to be an online festival and Romano was a valuable part of the event team expanding his role as an event consultant as well as brand and sponsor manager. we hope to be working together going forward as we grow the association and event including the Official Americana Chart.
